During the challenges of the past year, The EG has continued to maintain its focus on keeping the Jackson area economy strong. Our COVID-19 relief support has continued into 2021. The EG, through our Community Ventures Corp. foundation, partnered with Consumers Energy and the City of Jackson to distribute free meals to those in need through the Our Town Meal Distribution Program. In total, the program distributed approximately 42,000 meals and paid vendors $420,000.
The purpose of the Executive Assistant position is to provide executive administrative support for the President and CEO, as well as reception and general administrative functions for The EG, and its member organizations (APEX, BDDA, BLDFA, JCBRA, EDC, and the PLDFA), and other entities that retain the services of The EG. This includes, but is not limited to database management, research and demographic data, correspondence, scheduling appointments and meetings, making travel and catering arrangements, preparing monthly expense reports, assembling and sending board packets, and filing.
