The EG is happy to announce that  today The EDA announced a $6 million grant to Jackson County and Blackman Charter Township to complete the infrastructure for the new Jackson Technology Park North. 

The $6 million grant will be matched by $1.5 million from Blackman Charter Township. The project will include infrastructure for the new industrial park and much needed improvements to County Farm Road.

The grant will provide access to the park and address much needed improvements for pedestrians and existing businesses. When completed the 145 acre park will provide shovel ready sites for new and existing manufacturing companies. The EG has been working with our local partners for nearly two years to develop the new industrial park.  Special thanks to the Jackson County Department of Transportation and  Blackman Township Local Development Finance Authority for making this a  reality.
